Hi my friends,

Things are a dark over here at Catwithdacards….on a day that is supposed to be full of excitement and joy it is full of death.

Without delving into too much detail at this time, someone who is my family in heart but not blood is on their deathbed from a tragic freak accident. I saw them not even two days ago and I thank the Universe for that. She was just taken off ventilator with no brain activity. I have been praying and interceding at my altar for the past 24 hours and I have a great community doing the same. Her name is Carol. Please keep me and her family in your thoughts. I’ll have more to say later.

This event came on the heels of me leaving for the UK. I fly tomorrow to Exeter England to sing Evensong for two weeks. I am planning to vlog this trip from the perspective of no longer being of the church and as a witch/musician.

I can’t lie and say that I didn’t think about backing out…but I know that’s not what Carol would want for me. She listens to me and her husband sing weekly, comes to all my concerts and quite frankly she’d kick my ass if I stayed home.
