The Wood Between Worlds
The world is all consuming this pisces season. As we prepare to consume less during the economic blackout, my days have been hazy and my dreams vivid with messages.
Synchronicities that are eerie reveal themselves like a flash in a pan. I dreamed about someone the night before they got in an accident, while their intuition flashed that they needed to rescue themselves quickly. I saw a book in a shop window before yoga class and immediately went in and bought it knowing nothing about the author or the plot. I just knew I needed it. Texting a pic to my cousin, she tells me she was at that very moment reading a book by that exact author.
Death has felt very close by. As Medicaid and so much more gets snatched away from the masses, a horse from my childhood violently dies leaving my childhood pony and dearest companion bereft as he screams in the field. His partner is gone and he doesn’t understand why. Mike reminds me “nothing is promised, live now.” in stark contrast to my mother savoring her duck confit, who remarks matter of factly that she believes there is nothing in the beyond, but that doesn’t stop her from talking to dead people.
Then, Michelle Trachtenberg died.
A week prior, I had the uncontrollable urge to watch Ice Princess, a staple from my teen years and couldn’t do anything else until I had. Her passing at only 39 to my 32 brought mortality face to face with me in a way I wasn’t expecting. I wish you rest and safe passage to the other side my love. Thanks for all of it. 🖤
On Sunday, I’m stepping on a plane and I’m telling myself that my work is not yet done, so I am not planning on dying in transit as I take a step into a new life I deserve and have fought so hard for.
As someone with a complicated relationship to the afterlife (thanks cult life), heaven and hell do not exist for me anymore. I believe there is a beyond because I am able to sense and experience both. The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis talks about the “wood between worlds” where you can jump into different portals and timelines. The afterlife makes sense to me like that.
The 12th house is here. Pisces is closing the door on another year plus 250 years of rotten foundation. Let it end. Speak out loud your fears so you can release them and claim your dreams. Regeneration is allowed and encouraged. I hope this New Moon, you find clarity on what brings you hope.

Water art/energies:
Hag Stones are useful in protection work. If found by a body of water, bring it home and cleanse it with healing water (ocean, moon/rain, spring, river holy or florida water all apply) and rub it in your hands. Visualizing your protective shields, using for grid work or carrying it on your person are how I use mine the most, but there are many options out there. This one comes from Westport Island, ME.
Visiting a favorite. This is what being around women is like. Magic!
The protection workshop/ritual circle was really nice and insightful. Here’s my candle I dressed. Dollar Tree gonna do it for me in a pinch every time. I’m also working on a Notion database for protection work, resources, spells and more. This will be a living resource everyone can contribute to. I want to add in some more stuff after I’m back from my travels in a few weeks, but I’m looking forward to sharing it!
