Any time I see “A rolling stone gathers no moss” I’m reminded of Jimmy Stewart drunkenly hiccuping that pithy statement in A Philadelphia Story and crack up.
This was the first time I truly took a look at that statement and analyzed it. Today ends the Mercury RX that flirted between Pisces and Aries for the last month. While that shakes out of our systems, the Venus RX is ending Saturday. This one was a wild ride personally and globally. You may have been feeling a little bit like ya can’t run and ya can’t hide.
This week, you can expect some of the energy to lighten, conversations and scheduling falling into place that was stagnant/in transit before. Patience has sort of re-entered the chat. We had our adrenaline up, and Taurus season is around the corner to remind us to stop and smell the cannab- I mean roses, souffle really whatever. Shit going to be smelling good regardless.
Consider it a warmup. How much fun can you have while dodging obstacles like Mario Kart? Everything’s breaking down, so what ACTUALLY matters and is worth giving a fuck about? “Economy so bad I gotta chase my dreams” is a gamble that can work out in your favor, but only if you’re willing to take center stage.
Being seen and taking what you deserve often requires a spotlight that we don’t want. If you, like my fellow scorpio placements are used to operating comfortably in the shadows, taking this step can feel excruciating. You do not control the dramatic and often whiny narrative in the court of public opinion.
So what happens when you receive actual push back? What about when you are not the darling of everyone’s eye because you chose yourself? How about when you chose to name, claim and walk away from what does not pour into you? It becomes all the more scary when you’re speaking up against injustice, unfair treatment and evil acts. What happens when not everyone is your friend?
Please consider donating to my friend and his family who are living/experiencing horrors beyond our comprehension. Every single dollar. Every single moment of amplification and attention matters to them.
I’m not going to sugar coat it, it’s uncomfortable. It can take everything to not run away. Take deep breaths through it anyway. Power down the phone, write it out of your system, shake it off with a dance, talk to someone who can validate your experiences even if it’s only your cards and guides. These moments of discomfort pass, things fall in place, you dared to move the energy and now you’re on the other side wiser and more powerful. There is so much you learned and you’ll realize you are stronger for it. Moving towards what’s best for you will be unsettling, but it always pays off even if it was in ways you didn’t expect or aren’t seen as traditional.
Double dodging foes and hoes while keeping your foot on the gas is no easy feat. Take this week to collect the data points from your experiences from January to now.
Here are some ways I clear out/lighten up energy as a retrograde ends:
🌀 sage that shit, but ESPECIALLY all tech and your wallet.
🌀 Listen through an entire album start to finish that speaks to the themes of your RX.
🌀 check your email/correspondence for any final loose ends you can wrap up
🌀 Make an offering to your guides in thanks for protecting you
🌀 Write what you can’t make time for anymore, anything you learned from your anger/obstacles. Burn it.
🌀 Pick an activity you enjoy that you had to put on hold during a busy/tough period
🌀 Sit next to sunshine and plants for a while. Let them fill your lungs.

🌕 Full Moon in Libruh this Saturday wraps up the Venus retrograde. Expect it to be a lighter full moon than most. Let yourself dream of what could be. Make time for something that brings pleasure. Consider a Venusian altar of some kind or working with the love goddesses such as Aphrodite if that is your jam. 💘
⚡️ Mars enters Leo on 4/18. Rediscover your passions and make time for them. Get a new hairdo or makeover. DEFINITELY spring clean the closet.
🌞 Sun enters Taurus on 4/19 right before my second favorite holiday to Halloween. 💨 Enjoy the outdoors and all sensory pleasures. Take a breather, give your body some intentional slow movement. Even better, take a nap.
🎙️ I was featured on Contemplating Resonance Podcast!
Matt and I met on Threads and we quickly discovered many parallels including:
being non binary baddies
neurodivergent as hell and sagittarius mercuries (yeah we esoteric and random as shit)
Southern eclectic witches/tarot readers
exvangelicals
we both even had a connection to Hattiesburg MS
This conversation is a lively ping pong discussion about living in between worlds as people struggling with our identities, gender, beliefs and much more. I hope you’ll give it a listen.
Summary from Matt:
Together, we unpack the nuance of gender expression, spiritual practice burnout, and how tarot has evolved for each of us—from a survival tool to a source of soulful connection. Cat offers wisdom on resting, playing, and reconnecting with our tools when burnout hits, and we both speak to the importance of trusting ourselves over rigid systems. If you’re in the midst of unlearning or learning to embrace your in-betweenness, this episode is a sanctuary of understanding, liberation, and resonance.
THANK YOU to Matt for wanting to give me a space to share my story, I learned so much from you in our conversation and love your work!

Thanks for the amazing shout out here, Cat! I've loved getting to know you and having you on the show!
Editor's Note: I did not technically live in Hattiesburg - that was my ex-wife - but I have spent a enough time there that it is "home-ish." :-)
