Lots of stuff has been going on in my work and personal life. Going forward, this newsletter may not be weekly, but it will be monthly, maybe even bi-monthly when my shits really together.
I have been spending more time reading. A pleasure I lost as my ADHD has progressed. It takes time to build up, but it has been the gift that keeps on giving.
One of the books I read was a thrift find: Discover your Psychic Self by Tara Ward.
The book is well thought out with chapters on Karma and Reincarnation, Energy and it’s different forms in nature and how to connect with it, a brief introduction to Chakras and more. Most of it wasn’t new to me, but I was pleasantly surprised by the the expansion on divination forms. Several I had never heard about!
Floramancy: Yes, you CAN read flowers! In the Victorian era, the color of your flowers could send messages to others, but you can also connect energetically through holding a flower. This makes a lot of sense as we have been seeing more about how plants and flowers “speak” to us and make sound frequencies. The book has some great exercises to practice. Tara makes note that you do not have to be an experienced florist to work with this, but it does take time to build up your practice.
Here’s some tips:
The flower must be fresh (not dried or artificial)
The stem must be at least 2 inches long and carefully selected by yourself or the person you’re reading for. The “sitter” who chose the flower can hold it first for a time and then you can take it and try to gauge using your senses and intuitive practice to divine information.
Notice details. Is it long and smooth or short and twisted? Are there thorns? How many? What’s the smell, texture, color?
Certain flowers are known to associate with different aspects of life:
Buttercup = new horizons, greater understanding, healing abilities
Carnation = self love, appreciation of life, physical energy
Daffodil = connecting with the higher mind and inner beauty
Honeysuckle = youthful memories and confidence
Jasmine = self esteem, transformation
Rose = healing your heart, beauty and love
Tulip = trust in a higher consciousness, success
Violet = simplicity and humility
These are simply some of many. If you want to attract any of these things into your life, I’d also advise maybe picking some out for yourself to enhance your home. :)
Scrying is divination that requires mindful gazing. The earliest records of scrying we have are from ancient Egyptian times. If you are someone who loves working with all the elements this may be a good fit for you. I have a water and fire stellium so I feel particularly drawn to both. Scrying can be done using:
Fire - I personally love meditating on candle flames or lava lamps.
Water - Natural bodies, in a clear bowl (even using food coloring). I’ll be working with this more and give you some in depth tips later on when I know what I’m doing a little more. ;)
Smoke - Incense/herb bundles, your joint, or even smoke from a fire!
Oil - Pour oil into a dish or rubbing it on your body. The light that reflects off the oil is what you need to take in and interpret.
Crystal Balls and Reflective Surfaces this one’s pretty explanatory and a visual we are used to seeing in witch culture. Tyler the Medium has a great special on Netflix where he discusses his scrying mirror.
Charm Casting: This practice has resurfaced in popularity in the past year at least through social media. If you’re someone who loves trinkets and thrifting, this may be ideal! I haven’t done it myself, but I’d love to try it one day. Simply gather together items and charms you have collected (cleanse first) and see what the images, positioning after you cast them, (think throwing dice) to tell a story of how they relate to each other and to the reading. This one wasn’t really discussed in the book, but I did want to add it to the list.
Runes: Runes are elusive in origin and psychic reading. I have to admit, I’ve never been able to just cast runes and read without a book. However, the books out there are particularly good. A set of Runes is only 24 (or 25 is a blank is included) to Tarot Cards 78 characters. Runes are often considered a portal to unlock sacred geometry and psychic patterns. They are always powerful and I use them sparingly. If you decide to get Runes tatted on you at any time, be MINDFUL of what you’re choosing, otherwise you may have inked meanings into yourself and your energy that you didn’t necessarily ask for. Be specific.
As you gain more knowledge, Runes can help you see patterns in seasons and elements.

Start getting your stuff in order, up your cleansing, back up all the things and get rid of the things and energy you don’t need around. Libra mercuries will especially be feeling this one. Anyone here got that placement? My gf does so I’m buckling up LOL.
With all my client work load right now and my choir gig starting up for the fall after time off It’s been difficult for me to keep up with marketing myself and writing and doing all the things I love to share with you.
