On the Aquarius Full Moon, I had the opportunity to go to reality tv premiere of an astrology dating show called Cosmic Love. I felt very fancy and had a great time so obviously I had to write about it:
Four Elements are matched by the Astro Chamber narrated by the Astro Twinz ELLE Magazine’s resident astrologers. As the contestants navigate their own free will combined with the knowledge they have from the Astro Chamber, they have a choice; will they choose their partner based off compatibility with their birth chart? Or will they stay in old patterns that haven’t served them in the past…will the stars align? :P
The show premiered on Amazon Prime at midnight and it’s free! I am loving it even more than I expected to be honest…especially after meeting the cast and chatting with them in a Q&A led by Novaa Network Founder and Astrologer Tai. We also had our own opportunities to chat with the cast afterwards as well.
YES, they all have to say “it’s not in the stars for us” at least once on the show and I lost my shit:
I’ve been a member of the Novaa Network Spiritual Directory for a year and had been looking forward to the secret NYC meetup. We didn’t know for a while and it was an awesome surprise! The event was hosted at the Luminary in New York City I got to connect with spiritual practitioners and astrology fans from the Tri-State Area as well as the cast of the show!
Sponsors included Winno, an app for creators that I’ve been wanting to look into for a minute. Platforms like Instagram and Twitter are no longer useful for people like us. Constantly we are censored and/or duplicated…the algorithm does not work in our favor anymore. I began this Substack as a way to share my work in a way I enjoy, but also to keep the people who really want to experience my readings and creations on a list if anything ever disappears.
Astral Tequila I am genuinely not a tequila person unless it’s in a margarita with salt, but this agave version my partner and I agreed may be one of the best we have ever had. I am not sponsored by anyone LMFAO I just genuinely was shocked how much I liked it.
The Luminary collective space is really beautiful located in Midtown. I loved the descriptions on each mirror in the beauty room. Leo moved into Venus that night so we were all feeling ourselves.
Smudge Wellness had a crystal raffle of beautiful selenite towers, but we also had crystals in our gift bags. To be honest, it was HILARIOUS to watch the run for them as soon as I announced they were to be given away.
Novaa Network Also set aside a space for private tarot and astrology readings with readers who are in their directory. I always appreciate that they do this and provide Mutual Aid for those of us in their directory.
For anyone on the lookout for another tarot deck, there was a display space to purchase a gorgeous deck named Black Queer Tarot
All of the stars were very enjoyable to talk to and portray aspects of their unique charts in life and on the show which made it even more fun to watch once we got home.
I talked to the Air Element (Connor) for a moment and said hello to the Water Element (Noel), but that was all I could do. They’re all so….tall LOL and whether it’s obvious or not my social anxiety is crippling so I was trying to push myself out of my comfort zone the whole night. Maria the Earth Element was one of my favorites because duh…
Phoebe the Fire Element is the most Leo Sun+Rising combo I’ve ever seen. I honestly regret not taking a moment to get the courage to chat with her because she is my favorite on the show so far (I’m about 4 in…). Her no-bullshit approach to men and her entire wardrobe have to make her number one. She wrestled a man to the ground. She is an icon! Phoebe, if you need a tarot reader…..just sayin.
Phoebe (Leo) Maria (Capricorn) Connor (Gemini) Noel (Pisces)
I was so relieved the show goes beyond their Sun sign because I swear to god….I would have had to leave. To me, your sun sign is the base of the pyramid that IS your unique chart.
Where the planets specifically were, ley lines (astrocartography is fascinating and an area I want to study) make up the complexities of your movements and is a science. You can learn yourself and do with the information what you will as the contestants learn throughout the show. They also do a great job being succinct with their descriptions (something my sag mercury is NOT) of different astrological terms, signs and characteristics.
I haven’t had to put my head in my hands once and I can’t say the same when I watch films with horses in them as a former equestrian ok yes I was a Capricorn horse gorl.
There is a horseshoe from my childhood pony hanging off my front door but guess what assholes it’s for protection so you should yee-yee yourself to get one maybe.
ANYWAY.
I got to meet some cool people including an oracle deck creator who gifted me a Serenity Oracle. I can’t wait to begin using it on clients and myself!
Let me know if y’all get into this show because Ren and I have been loving it and I have THOUGHTS. I may write some up on here if you guys end up watching it and would care.
I’ve studied astrology since 2017 and my skills are intermediate. I am a lifelong student and I can discuss fairly in depth and educate those who are very new to it. Many of my mutuals though are incredible resources I love to support so feel free to ask for them!
I have focused my dating based off astrology (not ONLY, but as a data research tool) for the last few years. It’s definitely useful in helping you learn what works for you particularly in communication styles etc.
That’s all for now. Bookings going out the next few days. - Cat
